Someone Tell Me

Someone tell me where you refill
When all hope is gone
And your flaws become too bold
When all you see in you
Is a hollow husk

Someone tell me where you hide
When the negatives pursue you
Clinging on the soles of your feet
That the trail you live behind
Is a shame you would opt to die
But not to be associated with

Someone tell me what keeps your candle burning
When the winds deluge your surrounding
Shaking your faith from its foundations
And threatens to collapse all the castles you ever built
When the winds shake your bones till no ambition is left in them
When all your eyes latch upon screams of how incomplete you’re

Somebody tell me how you convince your heart
That all is not lost when every pulse
Reverberates of your brokenness
And every vein is stained with your dark history
When your heart pumps but the arteries are clogged
With crumbs of an identity you thought you owned

Someone tell me how to believe again
When they’ve poured you out
Like spoilt milk
And hissed of how hopeless you’re

Somebody tell me how to grow anew
When you woke up to the reality
That you’re too old
For your dreams

Someone tell me where you get wings
To fly above this wall
Or better yet how you pray for strength
To break through it

Someone do something
For these walls am caged in
Won’t tire from mocking me!
