Love Thyself

Everyday is battle
Every battle is a chance to conquer
We rise to win love
That which we owe ourselves
Self love is what we need; forget acceptance
Find it in dark alleys
Find it in lonely nights
Let it grow big enough to fill your trinity
That no space is left: for suicidal thoughts to roam
For conformity to sprout
For depression to take root
For standards to rate you
Give a little there, give a little here and reserve more love for yourself
For love comes to those who love themselves.

Good Evening Friend👋

One Question

It’s a long way we’ve come
It’s a long way to go
But I see them barricading our path
As bonfires light
Fuelled by jealousy and ill will
They call us savages
Pulling chains to bind our limbs
So in fire we don’t even twitch
But dear,
Will you let them break us apart?
Or will you let them be?

They say we’re impossible
Like they know bits of us
We’ve never known
Like they’ve felt the heavens of your body
And marvelled at the depth of your thoughts
Like their hands have felt the glory in your breasts
Like their mouths still hoard the lava of your orgasm
They are becoming gods
Trying to fix our brokenness with
Should and should-nots
Just tell me this;
Will you let them break us apart?
Or will you let them be?

Do they know how far we’ve come?
When the ground was our bed
And rock stone our pillow (S.M)
When sunrise brought with it
Empty pots and cold fireplace
When doors banged on our faces
And friends became few
When providence never sojourned
And we lay destitute and desolate
Remind them, in these days
We found reasons to smile
I found home in your embrace
And warmth in your mons
And I gave you a promise
But, they won’t tire,
Dem loading their guns
Shooting our dreams
While time flees
So dreams will be dreams
They want to entice you
To pressure me
For them to oppress us
So tell me,
Will you let them break us apart?
Or will you let them be?

Aged too Soon

Should I say I envied my brother?
Whenever he sneaked you home
When time stood still as you mourned
When the double-decker shook
And every inch you flinched tightened my pants

Did I ever tell you how beautiful you were?
No, not beautiful, just sexually stimulating
That every time I saw you I did an x-ray on you
And had sex with you in my fantasies
No, you could never know that;
My bulge was always concealed
By tight triangular briefs

Did I tell you of the sleepless nights?
When even in your absence
The sheets still smelt of your presence
And the crickets stopped their chirps
As your ‘imetoooosha’ pleas boomed in my mind

Did I tell you of the many nights I dreamt of you?
Only to wake up in sticky sheets around my ass
Ohh shemeji, how I yearned for you
I could have given a pair of balls
Just to hear you mourn my name
Till now the vulnerability in that voice
As it said ‘imetooooosha’ still thrills me

Shemeji how quick the world has beaten you!
It was just yesterday I yearned for you
Today your nakedness can deflate my erection
You’ve aged shemeji. So quickly shemeji

Did you marry a man?
Please do and dump the beast
He’s squeezed the juice of life from your ass
It now sags like peels of skin on the back of a donkey’s balls
Your skin once radiant now a labyrinth of scratches and folds
My old shemeji how the world has beaten you!
