Fat

Hi, I’m Dorcas, I had lost my beauty to spare tyres, but only 2 months in this weight loss program, I lost 50 kilos, and I’ve got my beach body back!

Hi, I’m Titus and used to have a lot of belly fat that my doctor said was the sole cause of my erectile dysfunctions but only 2 months in this weight loss program, I lost 30 kilos and I can now hit that thing!

These are the lies they have used to mint billions and leave behind broken people in pursuit of illusionary beauty.

Beauty is a multifaceted phenomenon that can’t be defined by weight alone. In fact, the last time I checked beauty wasn’t synonymous to Slim!

You peg my worth on the sizes of my body parts and expect me to use it as collateral to buy acceptance.

The media is quick to give you statistics of people who die of obesity, but they can’t tell you how many of us die of self-hate because society didn’t accept as the way we are.

They’ll proudly present to you two people who lost weight massively but won’t tell you of the thousands of plus-sized people who’ve committed suicide because of the cyberbullies they paid.

They’ll lie to you that slim people are smarter but won’t tell you that the ‘fat’ kid that came last in class spent half the term at home for fear of being bullied!

Can’t you see, that this weight issue is a propaganda propagated by schemers who want you to make a contribution to the multi-billion weight loss industry they profit from!

And I hear curvy women complain of catcalls, we plus-sized women don’t get catcalled; we get insulted!

We have been called by degrading names; pumpum, momo, superdrum, drumset, I have lost my identity trying to find where I stopped being a human being.

The society with its unrealistic expectations of what a beautiful woman should be has changed me; I’m the master procrastinator. I have a hangman’s noose on my ceiling but every time I climbed the stool, the sun seemed beautiful, I have procrastinated suicide so many times that death itself is procrastinating taking me!

The truth is, I am not fat, I’m well built. I’m not fat, I’m just big in the right places.

I’m not fat; my personality is too big to be constricted in naked bone-frames. I’m not clumsy, I’m not lazy; I’m just too busy living my life to count calories!

The bible says that my body is the temple of God, you think I’m fat? No! I’ve just created more rooms for the angels!

I wasn’t made to impress

I won’t die of stress trying to fit in a cocktail dress, see, I’ve got enough meat for the wedding dress!

Don’t tell me I’m fat when God who owns the world hasn’t complained that I take more space than what he apportioned me.

I’m beautiful the way I am. Period. I don’t even know why I had to write this to prove that to you, when you spend your days on your knees praising how beautiful and wonderful God is! Don’t you know, He’s just like me!

Clean Slate

Clean Slate
Clean Slate

I once had a clean slate, that was long before I knew how to write nor how to erase all the letters, the words, the phrases, the sentences and the stories that told of everything the slate wasn’t meant. I believed that the slate was supposed to be as clean as the creator had handed it over to me and only him could write signs on it for me to decipher unraveling the mysteries of life.

This slate was my life, given to me in entirety, a masterpiece of a master potter whose hands weaned the universe to perfection and what a delight is it to know that of all that he created and termed beautiful, I was the best.
I was made the best without a test
But before this could sink deeper into my spiritual being
The world scrapped this zest
Like naked does to vest
Leaving a Confused mind commanded by sirens of the flesh

Life has a way of munching your self-worth, turning your unlimited potential into nothingness, stripping every shred of hope, drying all your sprinkles of happiness leaving a lost soul tempest tossed in an ocean awash with predating tongues of the human variety.

These tongues will whip your self-confidence by forever spitting into your ears that you were born by coincidence, they’ll term your existence an accident crafted by the stubborn spirit of a bastard kid who refused to remain where debris of failed abortions ought to be.

Watch how they throttle your peace, making your nights a restless spree and they mock and laugh at you as the only human being who has not a single dream.
With limiting beliefs and customs they stagnate the flow of your spirits, the spirits that the create meant to roam freely into the invisible world of abundance marinating your life with love, gratitude, self-awareness and a sense of purpose that are essential recipes for happiness.

They’ve injected you with massive doses of self-loathe by muting the whispers of your beauty and making the silence of your flaws louder than sirens as they usher you into the system of make-up, the system of Botox, steroids, collagen and silicon but no make-up can ever make up for the flaws they’ve created in your character.
They’ve poisoned your heart with hate, contempt and cynicism and you wonder why you don’t see anything good in life, you wonder why suicidal thoughts creeps into your mind every other minute when the law of attraction knows that like attracts like and when hate is all you emit into the universe, it is all you’ll get from it.

I checked my slate that I once left clean and I found it filled with all the shit that will make you wish you never lived but what would you expect when you’ve left the doors to your thoughts open and given away the master pen given to you by the creator to write you own destiny?
I have cleaned this slate and now I’m getting ready for a war, I’m getting ready for a war to snatch my pen back, a war to snatch the key to my thoughts back, A war to get my life back.

When you nurture Nature, Nature nurtures you

“When you nurture Nature, Nature nurtures you.”

these are the words of Donald L. Hicks a fellow human who found it in his bones to care for nature, I know you haven’t heard of him, we have become deaf and as blind as bats or worse coz bats at least know how hissing in the air helps avoid collision on trees’ trunks and branches. So at least they know trees should exist and leave them their space. But we’ve become a destructive lot. We’ve lost our purpose. Welcome to the beginning when there was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. The very God who authored two books first the scriptures which is obvious to you and secondly the creation which we have all taken up arms against.

After creation, man was not only given the Garden of Eden to provide for all his needs but also got highly elevated as the caretaker of the creatures.

Man was made the CEO of creation

But it seems he misunderstood the meaning of CEO and took it as a Call to Extinct Organisms and it hurts me to prophesy that by the time my grandchildren will be of my age elephants will merely be examples used in classrooms to teach biology students what it really means for an organism to be extinct.

We have perfected the art of environmental degradation. So we’ve got to reap the harvests from poisoned soils and we wonder why men succumb to hypogonadism and the entire human race is rapidly getting wiped off the face of earth by cancers

We spend the better part of our lives exploiting our environment in search of ways to boost our treasury

Evading reality that life isn’t just the pursuit of a salary

God perfectly balanced the equation of creation

The gazelle was to feed on vegetation

The vegetation covered the earth surface inhibiting erosion

And trees purified air and summoned rain so why need irrigation?

The birds were the melody of creation; you only knew its dawn when you heard cocks crow and sunbird sing to welcome the sunshine that was eagerly awaited for by plants to cook their meals that spurred energy in every moving creature.

But man has since constipated the whole art of creation

You probably think that I speak out religious obligation

But even if I took God out of the equation

You won’t need rocket science to see how we contribute to this pollution

Instead of nurturing the environment he’s become a champion of its destruction

You burn and choke air with dangerous chemicals and still yap about ozone layer depletion

You cut trees for commercial agriculture

Forgetting that without trees there won’t be rain and you’ll digging graves for the farming culture

You are led by greed: killing thousands and thousands of elephants for ivory and still feel offended when called a vulture

Sometimes we’ve got to fight the government for the sake of environment

Or what shall we do when the people we entrust with conservation of natural resources are the same people at the helm of ivory trade?

Mother Nature is weeping, but do we even care?

Cutting thousand trees and planting none but we can’t see that’s unfair

We are speedily driving to our graves it’s time to shift the gear

And change the course of human race to make the bright future near

We are great beings but just obstinate

You know what’s right but you persist in doing wrong,

We can heal the world if we become considerate

Let’s stop poaching, let’s stop pollution and have some trees grown

It’s only then that we can look at future with hope

Of what benefit is it to have a fine house without a tolerable planet to put it on?

You have a choice, to heal or to infect

But when the last tree is cut and the last fish killed, the last river poisoned, and then you will see that you can’t eat money.

They lied to us

They said education is the key

What they never said is that corruption is the lock,

Corruption na education ni vitu incompatible

ni kama kujaribu kufungua kifuli ya solex na kifungu ya tri cycle

no wonder the common man is ever in his vicious cycle,

rat race hiyo ni mbio bila finish line how can you ever win such a race?

Kenya imekuwa ni kama shamba la wanyama where all animals are equal but some are more equal than others when it comes to sharing of national cake do we ever get our fair share? Of course no. we only get much more than our fair share when it comes to police brutality. They fire us with teargas to instill fear in us, if that fails they gang up against us with live bullets crippling, maiming and killing innocent lives but does this ever get any attention?

They lied to us when they told us that Kenya is a democratic state

when self imposed rulers rule over liberal minded citizens

and I wonder if this is what our forefathers fought for in the name of democracy or just tyranny in disguise..

Corruption na public offices zimekuwa vitu complementary

ni kama coffin na cemetery

ni kama kiwi na viatu

imezidi kufilisi mifuko ya watu

yet tuko na anti corruption yenye imekuwa useless ni kama toothless carnivora.

The society we value so much has lied to us in many ways

See our churches are awash with rogue pastors who preach charity yet they own private jets, they preach chastity yet they keep 100 concubines.

They preach prosperity: give and you will be given but is that always the case? They even sell prophecies all you got to do is panda mbegu kwa nambari on the screen and all your needs are met but is that always the truth? As you wait for your prophecies to come true they are smiling to the bank investing in your ignorance changing vehicles every year as you continue to languish in poverty.

They endorse fidelity in marriages yet they eat the flock, didn’t you hear of a pastor found dead in a woman’s bedroom? I don’t know much but I know for sure they were not reading scriptures in there.

It was said how important marriage is yet our streets are awash with sophisticated ladies who don’t care about marriage inheriting independence from our colonizer’s minds.

I am just so sick of this society where our young daughters are losing their virginity long before they know its spelling.

Our parents lied to us, our teachers and our leaders have done the same but I want to tell you one truth: You cannot feature in a future you haven’t pictured. For you to feature into the future you need to picture the future because the history of the future lies in the mystery of the scriptures, so read the scripture for there lies your future.

When puberty crept in

When puberty crept in I began keeping blades

To clear some stuff below the belt

When puberty crept in I stopped being chaste

As every girl who passed Me by I wanted a taste

I even changed my name

And sought fame

Just to impress the dames

Unfortunately all I got was shame

Or what else would you expect with too soon ejaculations?

When puberty crept in I began looking at women in the eye

As if that would speak what I had in mind

When puberty crept in I even changed my way of dressing as I began wearing tight t-shirts

Exposing my muscles

I also had to do much of hustles just to find something to buy them lunch, buy them snacks, shower them with gifts just to entice them to get to my crib.

When puberty crept in I became friends with the mirror as I had to check my face now and then for which pimple to squeeze next.

When puberty crept in I rarely dreamt

But when I did I had to wake up in the midst of the night to change ma pants wet but not with sweat

When puberty crept in

Curiosity went deep

As I marveled to unravel the mystery between ladies’ thighs

I heard that they have a honey pot hidden in the garage of their abdomen

And Boys like me have to locate this honey pot to be men

The thought of this honey pot dominated my mind

But I don’t think I was to blame either

When they told me its taste got better in cold weather

So in haste I wrote my first love letter

To a high school fresher Brenda

Unfortunately that letter was never replied. That was so unfair after all the Shakespearean clichés I had copy pasted in it!

When puberty crept in my nights became long and sleepless, nights filled with sexual fantasies, nights I spent awake thinking about she who had my missing ribs

I tell you the girl of my dreams became my worst nightmare as these sexual fantasies refused to remain in my bedroom but blindly followed me to classroom…and I could do nothing better other than sit back and watch my grades crumble.

Puberty is such a tyrant

Puberty is so shameless

But I thank God I crept out of puberty and am not stuck in it like most of you are

I crept out of puberty and I learnt to respect women not only because they give birth to we men but also because they are the pillars of families

I crept out of puberty and I learnt to treat women with dignity because sooner or later one of them will be a vessel through which my genes will be transported to next generations when I lose this breath

I crept out of puberty and I learnt that there is more to women than the beauty that meets the eye

I crept out of puberty and Proverbs 31 became my criterion for selection of she who would bear my last name.

I crept out of puberty and learnt to value women for something more, much much more than what lies beneath their pants

So to you women, if there is this guy who claims to be in love with you but is in constant pursuit of your honey pot, tell him you know your worth, tell him to grow first and creep out of puberty for until then he wont be able to love you genuinely,

For you are worth more, much, much more than what lies beneath your pants.
